YAWP! accepts submissions of creative work from Bethel students, faculty, staff, and alumni. We have historically published poetry, fiction, and visual art, but we are open to new and emerging genres.

Our submission guidelines are as follows:

• Poetry

      No restrictions on length or content. 

• Short Stories

    No restrictions on length or content.

    We do not publish Genre Fiction: sci-fi, horror, detective, fantasy, erotica, or   inspirational.

• Personal Essays

     No restrictions on length or content.

• Photography

     High resolution jpeg or png files. Multiple entries allowed and preferred.

• Drawings/Sketches/Paintings/Prints

     Photos or scans of artwork, jpeg or pgn files (cropped appropriately).

• Videos

     High resolution. Preferably mp4, m4v, mov, wmv, avi, mpg, 3gp, or 3g2 files.

To submit, email your submission to yawp@bethelks.edu with the title(s) of your work and/or collection of works in the subject line. Upon publication, YAWP! will publish a photograph of the artist on our contributor’s page, unless otherwise requested. 

All communication regarding entries will be conducted via email. We are looking forward to your submissions!
